In parallel to my work as a film composer, I have dealt a lot with my prepared piano over the past five years, whose result is an album with 11 pieces.
All recorded acousticly and each piece is based on a turkish folk song. I enjoyed to deconstract and redesign the sructures, harmonies, and characteristics of the suffering anatolian music. I love the percussive sounds of prepared piano and I love to be driven by rhythm. This both characterize most of my compositions on this album.
